Please join the Working Waterfront Coalition on Thursday,  December 5 at 11:00AM to meet with Maxine Dexter, candidate for Oregon House District No. 33. This is an opportunity to hear from Candidate Dexter, and importantly for Maxine Dexter to learn about the important work being done and contributions made by Portland’s industrial and manufacturing sector. Please come to discuss your company, its challenges and opportunities. 

This meeting is open to both members of the Working Waterfront Coalition and interested individuals.

Meet Maxine Dexter, MD...

Maxine Dexter, MD, is running for Oregon State Representative, HD33 in 2020. Maxine has practiced with Kaiser Permanente Northwest since 2008, and has served six years on the Northwest Permanente Board of Directors (2.5 years as Chair of the Board.) She earned two BAs from the University of Washington in Political Science and Editorial Journalism, as well as her Medical Degree. She completed her residency, chief residency and fellowship training at the University of Colorado, where she also earned a Certificate in Public Health. She is a member of the Oregon Medical Association, where she serves on the Legislative Committee. She has been honored to be a Portland Monthly “Top Doc” six times since 2014.

Maxine Dexter, MD grew up in a working-class family, is the first in her family to go to college, and realized her dream of becoming a doctor with the support of her community, a union job and a strong drive to succeed. She is a pulmonary and critical care physician, a mother and a business leader. She is running because she believes we all have a right to health, including strong schools, clean air, clean energy, and affordable healthcare and housing for all.
